24 March is National Day of Remembrance of Poles who rescued Jews under German occupation.
Today is National Day of Remembrance for Poles who saved Jews under German occupation. It is the anniversary of the death of the Ulma family from Markowa in the Podkarpacie region, executed by German gendarmes for hiding Jews.
Students from the High School No. 1 in Tomaszow Lubelski took part in educational workshops entitled: "How did Poles save Jews from the Holocaust?" and visited the site of the Museum and Memorial in Belzec.
