On June 4, 2018, on the 14th anniversary of the opening of the Museum – Memorial Site in Bełżec, the 2nd Workshop ‘History-Education-Memory’ was held.

During the workshop the papers were delivered by:

prof. nadzw. dr hab. Wacława Wierzbieniec (University of Rzeszów): The importance of charity and social service in Jewish communities;

dr hab. Grzegorz Żuk (University of Maria Curie-Skłodowska in Lublin): A lesson in Museum-Memorial Site as an impulse to work on oneself;

Monika Bednarek, Marta Śmietana (Museum of History of Cracow): KL Płaszów. The work on creation of a memorial site;

Jarosław Joniec (Museum - Memorial Site in Bełżec): Memorial sites in Tomaszów district. Outline of issues in the historical and legal perspectives.

Participants of the 2nd Workshop ‘History-Education-Memory’ visited the exhibition and the monument. They also lit candles in Nisza Ohel in honour of the victims of the extermination camp in Bełżec.
