On 26 August, the Museum – Memorial Site in Bełżec hosted educators from Ukraine, who arrived in the course of their annual study visit organised by the Ukrainian Centre for Holocaust Studies in Kiev.

During the few-hours long visit to the Museum, the group learned about the history of the death camp and the symbolism of contemporary commemoration. During the second part of the meeting, they attended a lecture focused on the post-war history of the former camp’s site and it’s commemorations, as well as a lecture devoted to the role of the witnesses of history in the educational activities carried out at the Museum – Memorial Site in Bełżec.
