The sound of the Peace Bell will traditionally mark the beginning of the Way of the Cross at the area of the former concentration camp at Majdanek. The procession will start from the Gate-Monument on March 27, at 6 p.m.

The Way of the Cross will take place along the “black road.” Next participants will pass the exhibition barracks, prisoners’ field III, and will reach the crematorium and the Mausoleum. The stations of the Way of the Cross are located in the most important places for the functioning of the camp. Each station will be provided with a historical commentary and fragments of the audio story of Wanda Ossowska, a Majdanek prisoner since January 1943 till April 1944. The main organizer of the liturgy is the Youth Chaplaincy of Lublin Archdiocese. It will start the World Youth Day celebrations in Lublin.
