On 26 October 2023, a ceremony commemorating the Roma and Sinti, victims of the 1940 Belzec labor camp, was held in Belzec.

The event was organized by the Museum and Memorial Site in Belzec in cooperation with the “Dom na Pograniczu” Foundation. The meeting was attended by members of Roma communities from Chelm and Gorzow Wielkopolski, as well as students of the Piotr Firlej Secondary School in Lubartow.

The lecturer, Agnieszka Caban, president of the "Dom na Pograniczu" Foundation, gave a lecture on Roma history and culture. The youth then participated in a workshop, during which they worked on ideas for events that could accompany next year's celebration.
In addition, the young people learned about the history of the labor camp and the extermination camp that existed in Belzec and became familiar with the symbolism of the Museum and Memorial monument in Belzec.

The event was held on the 11th anniversary of the unveiling of the monument, which was built as the project implemented in the Program for the Roma community in Poland, carried out in cooperation with the MMP in Belzec, the Belzec Municipality and the Ministry of Administration and Digitization.
