It is one of many books issued under the Museum imprint which are devoted to educational issues. At the same time, it is the first book addressed directly to teachers.

The book is earmarked for Polish and foreign teachers interested in projects concerning historical and intercultural education devoted to the tragic events of the Second World War. It is meant as a help by preparing and conducting classes and educational programmes based on the resources of the State Museum at Majdanek.
