Leave all clothing. All items with the exception of money, valuable items, documents, and footwear should be left at the place of disrobing. […] Footwear should be tied in pairs and left in the indicated place. Only completely disrobed proceed to the showers and inhalation.

A fragment of the inscription on the message board that is now on display at the Museum and Memorial Site in Bełżec. Its purpose was to misinform the victims about their fate.
