Original objects found on the grounds of the camp or donated by the former prisoners, audio and video accounts by the Majdanek inmates, archival photographs. In the 70th anniversary of the dislocations from the Zamość Region to KL Lublin, the State Museum at Majdanek remained about the fates of the displaced.

The exhibition “The Displaced from the Zamość Region in the Majdanek Camp” has been arranged in the barracks which once were shoemaker’s workshop and today are adapted for exhibiting purposes. The barracks are fitted with stands using hologaphic pojections, modern display cases and lightening system. The exhibition equipment, covered by the Museum with the funds from the Regional Operational Programme for the Lublin Region and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, provides optimal conditions for the presented collections and introduces attractive forms of museum narration. The exhibition gives an opportunity to hear and watch a few dozen accounts by the inhabitants of the Zamość Region detained at Majdanek as children. The hermetically sealed display cases contain clothes and shoes, toys, dishes, prayer books. Some materials with information on the stay of the dislocated at Majdanek can be taken away. In the barracks 62, an interactive map with the museum visiting route can be found. It contains the most important places and buildings related with the Majdanek camp. The opening of the exhibition took place on July 22, 2013, during the observancesof the 69th anniversary of the camp liquidation. It can be visited until the end of May 2014.
