Director of the Museum at Majdanek Ph.D. Tomasz Kranz and rector of the Catholic University of Lublin Rev. Prof. Antoni Dębiński signed a cooperation agreement. The institutions represented by these two pledged themselves to run educational projects together and to initiate actions that aim at deepening the knowlegde about the Lublin region.

- We are going to implement academic drafts together with faculties of pedagogics, history or cultural studies, since we already have such settlements, but with the signing of today's agreement they were awarded an institutional dimension - said director Tomasz Kranz during the meeting with journalists. - This agreement gives us a great chance for the cooperation with the Museum and gaining fuller knowledge about the past of Lublin and Lublin region. - that's how Rev. Prof. Antoni Dębiński commented on the possibilities the agreement offers. Since the last year the State Museum at Majdanek has been cooperating with the Open University of the Catholic University of Lublin, where the Museum's employees are teaching the pupils of junior high schools and high schools about the history of the Majdanek concentration camp.
