A report on the activities of the State Museum at Majdanek in 2014 has already been published. On 50 pages, there is information about 70th anniversary of the Museum, the most important investments, exhibitions.

In 2014, this number has been biggest for 25 years. “Votes of the Internet users and the surge in the amount of visitors prove that the State Museum at Majdanek is an important memorial related with the Second World War in Europe. It is also perceived as a significant academic and educational centre, and an initiator of innovative museum undertakings,” wrote Tomasz Kranz, director of the State Museum at Majdanek in the introduction to the report. Apart from that the report describes publications issued by the Museum, including the Book of the Year 2013 title that the Museum was awarded with, as well as the 70th anniversary of the liquidation of KL Lublin, 70th anniversary of the Museum existence, and 10th anniversary of functioning of the Museum – Memorial Site in Bełżec. The report includes also information on conservation works, opening of the historical exhibition “The Prisoners of Majdanek,” and discovery of the foundations of the gas chambers in Sobibór.
