The architectural-landscape concept which will be completed in the area of the former death camp in Sobibór, has already been chosen. Its authors are: Marcin Urbanek, Piotr Michalewicz, and Łukasz Mieszkowski. The concept was awarded with the 1st prize in the international architectural contest organized by the State Museum at Majdanek in cooperation with the Foundation „Polish-German Reconciliation.”

The concept includes the building of the visitors centre where a permanent historical exhibition will be presented, and spatial arrangement of the grounds of the former camp, including proper protection of mass graves. Project presentation
