Participants of the Polish nationwide science conference visited Museum in Bełżec

On March 8, Museum and Memorial Site in Bełżec was visited by the participants of the Polish nationwide science conference called ‘Disciplinary Procedures of Road Users to Implement Measures in Accordance with the Law.’

Participants of the conference were familiarized with the history of SS-Sonderkommando Bełżec – the first German Nazi death camp of the ‘Aktion Reinhardt.’ People who took part in the tour were presented with very specific details concerning post-war memorial site, starting with the liquidation of the camp and covering up the proof of mass murdering of people, ending on creation and symbolism of contemporary commemorating.

Stay of researchers from Polish universities was a part of the conference organised on March 8th-9th in Bełżec and Tomaszów Lubelski by The War Studies Academy in Warsaw and Law on the Road Association.
