During the celebration of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Museum and memorial Site in Bełżec commemorated the murdered Jews.

On January 27th, young people from the School Complex in Bełżec, Primary School in Łukawica and invited guests took part in the opening of the temporary exhibition "The Nazi German extermination camp in Bełżec. History and Relics". Afterwards, and employees of the Museum along with the pupils and guests went to the Ohel Niche where they lit candles as a sign of remembrance of six million murdered Jews. In the second part of the ceremony, the students took part in workshops during which they learned about selected aspects of the camp's functioning through the objects found during archaeological research at the former death camp in Bełżec.

After the workshop, the participants visited the former Bełżec camp with a guide.
