View photos
On September 19, 2013, about 130 teachers from the Lublin branch of the Polish Teachers’ Union gathered at Majdanek to pay tribute to the teachers from the Lublin region who died or were killed during the Second World War.
Following some speeches held at the cinema in the Visitor Service Centre, the participants along with the colour parties went to lay down flowers and light cangles at the foot of the Gate-Monument. Then they were guided through the museum exhibition, including the exhibition “The Displaced from the Zamość Region in the Majdanek Camp.” The meeting of the representatives of the Polish Teachers’ Union has been held at Majdanek for the second time.
