The State Museum at Majdanek has become the partner of the Museum of the Slovak National Uprising in Banská Bystrica at executing the international project "Haviva Reick – Return to European Remembrance," which is supported by the European programme "Europe for Citizens."

Within the project, the employees of the State Museum at Majdanek organised the meeting that took place on April 24, 2015, in the High School No.1 in Lublin. The youth listened to the lecture on the fates of the Slovak Jews during the Second World War and became acquainted with the biography of Haviva Reick, a honorary citizen ofBanská Bystrica, heroine of the Slovak National Uprising, who had actively rescued the Jewish citizens of Slovakia. The project ended with the projection of "Return to a Burning House" documentary. After the screening there was a discussion about history of World War II. The visitors reflected the question: what would I do today in shoes of Haviva?
