The new temporary museum exhibition “The Prisoners of Majdanek” will be opened for visitors from July 22. However, the representatives of the media in Lublin have already had an opportunity to become acquainted with the exhibition.

The aim of the press conference organised by the Museum on July 16 was to remind of the 70th anniversary of the liquidation of the concentration camp at Majdanek and present the new exhibition created in barracks no. 62. During the meeting, director of the State Museum at Majdanek Tomasz Kranz told about the idea of creating the exhibition “The Prisoners of Majdanek.” The authors of its scenario – Krzysztof Banach, Marta Grudzińska and Wojciech Lenarczyk – discussed the premises of the exhibition and paid attention to the materials presented at it.Due to the optimal storage conditions of the collections, which were obtained as a result of the adaptation of barracks no. 62 for the exhibition aims, the collections, which were not displayed up to now, are on exhibit.
