The Head of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church at the State Museum at Majdanek

On 27th June the State Museum at Majdanek was visited by the Head of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church -Archbishop Światosław Szewczuk.
His Holiness'entourage consisted ofmany clericals, among them three Ukrainian Greek-Catholic bishops. Honourable guests were welcomed by the Lublin Archbishop Stanisław Budzik, the Lublin Voivod Jolanta Szołno-Koguc and the Director of the State Museum at Majdanek Tomasz Kranz.
The visit began at the Gate-Monument where the wreath was laid and the candles were lightedas homage tothe murdered. Afterwards, the guests went to the obelisk commemorating Greek-Catholic priest -blessed Emilian Kowcz.He wasa prisoner of the concentration camp atMajdanek and diedhere on 25th March 1944. Then, ashort mess took place during which Archbishop Szewczuk preyed for the Polish-Ukrainian reconciliation.
