The National and Ethnic Minorities Committee held its session at Majdanek
On July 1, the Sejm National and Ethnic Minorities Committee held at Majdanek its session on education at memorial sites. MPs’ debate was devoted mainly to education on the grounds of the former German concentration camps. The session was preceded with visiting the museum exhibition.
It was not by accident that the State Museum at Majdanek was chosen as a venue of the debate on education. It is both an important historical site and an institution that has developed and introduced its owned educational concept, called pedagogy of remembrance. It also has considerable achievements to its credit. Based on it, the Museum carried out 160 various educational projects in 2014.
