The opening of the exhibition “To understand a human. Bełżec 1918-2017"

A vernissage of the temporary exhibition entitled “To understand a human. Bełżec 1918–2017” took place on June 7 in the screening room of the Museum – Memorial Site in Bełżec.

At the exhibition, the work results achieved by the students of the Public Lower Secondary School in Bełżec were presented. They took part in the project whose aim was to collect and elaborate some iconographic materials, documents as well as the accounts of Bełżec residents. All materials collected by the students were presented on 13 display boards which concerned the contemporary history of the town. The project was conducted in cooperation with the Museum – Memorial Site in Bełżec and with the Bildungswerk Stanislaw Hantz Association from Kassel.

The students and teachers from the Lower Secondary School in Bełżec and the representatives of the local Municipal Office took part in the opening of the exhibition. During the vernissage, the authors of particular exhibition sections familiarised the viewers with the experiences and feelings that had occurred while they had been working on the exhibition.
