On April 3-4, 2014, a Polish-German educational project devoted to the history of KL Lublin took place at the State Museum at Majdanek. It was participated by students of the Secondary School No. 5 in Lublin and German students from Gesamtschule in Schermbeck. On the first day they visited the museum exhibition and the grounds of the former concentration camp. A meeting with former Majdanek prisoner Stanisława Kruszewska was an overwhelming experience for the young people.

On the next day, the participants had a chance to research into given topics related with the history of KL Lublin and develop their knowledge based on various historical sources and didactic materials, including publications for general public, memoirs and accounts by former Majdanek prisoners. The workshops were a chance not only to get familiar with the history of KL Lublin, but also to take responsibility for commemorating the victims of the Nazi concentration camps.
