Training for teachers ‘Tell about us, the nameless...’
The State Museum at Majdanek cordially invites teachers from primary, middle and high schools to the third edition of methodological training for extracurricular historical education in post-camp memorial sites: ‘Tell about us, nameless...’ It will take place on 6th of October, 2018 at the Visitor Service Centre of the State Museum at Majdanek in Lublin.
The training aims for inspiring and encouraging teachers to use extracurricular teaching of recent history, carried through visits to post-camp memorial sites. The offer is addressed mainly to teachers of history, social studies and Polish. Notwithstanding the above, also teachers of other subjects, in particular class teachers, may take part in it.
The main goal of this year's edition of the training is to present the fate of Jewish prisoners of KL Lublin. Due to the fact that most of them lost their lives in the camp and in many cases they are anonymous victims to this day, the memory of them will be recalled through the individual fates of the survivors. The stories of those who survived will also be a voice of the nameless.
Participation in the training is free and treated as a didactic and methodological course raising professional qualifications, therefore participants will receive registered certificates of completion. Participants will also receive publications on extracurricular historical education at memorial sites.
