Opening hours

Please note!

We would like to inform you that from December 24, 2024, the working system of the State Museum at Majdanek and its branches - the Sobibor Memorial Museum and the Belzec Memorial Museum - will be changed. The museum will be completely inaccessible to visitors (the main gate will remain closed) on all Mondays and the following holidays: January 1 (New Year's Day), January 6 (“Epiphany”), Easter, Corpus Christi, November 1 (All Saints' Day) and November 11 (National Independence Day), and December 24-31.

While planning your visit at the Museum, please remember that it does not run a cloakroom or left luggage office.

Approximate time needed to visit the Museum:
Guided tour – about 2 h
Individual tour – about 1 h
Museum lessons and other educational ctivities – 2,5 h or more

Please, plan your visit accordingly.

Summer season (April–October)

Grounds: 9.00–18.00
Historical exhibition: 9.00–17.00

From the beginning of 2025, the Museum will be completely closed on Mondays.

Last admission to the Museum grounds – an hour before the closing time.
Last admission to the permanent exhibition – half an hour before the closing time.

Winter season (November–March)

Grounds: 9.00–16.00
Historical exhibition: 9.00–16.00

Until the end of 2024, the information point and the exhibition will remain closed on Mondays, but the grounds will remain open. Starting in 2025, the Museum will be completely closed on Mondays.

Last admission to the Museum grounds is an hour before the closing time.
Last admission to the permanent exhibition is half an hour before the closing time.
