The aim of the competition is to promote knowledge of the history of the World War II and to commemorate the victims of the German Nazi extermination camp in Bełżec. The competition also aims to develop young people’s historical and artistic sensitivity and to encourage personal reflection on the importance of remembrance.
Participants:
The competition is addressed to students of:
- primary schools (grades 7-8) and secondary schools, aged 14 to 19.
Participation in the competition is free of charge.
Competition categories:
The competition is divided into two categories:
- general education schools (primary and secondary schools),
- art schools (including secondary art schools and other institutions with an artistic profile).
Deadline:
Entries must be submitted by 30 April 2026.
Application procedure:
For participation one should:
- read the competition regulations,
- complete the application form,
- accept the personal data protection information clause,,
- sign the regulations, application form and information clause, and then send the complete set of documents to the organiser's address,
- submit the competition entry in accordance with the rules specified in the regulations.
Each participant may submit one entry.
Results and prizes:
The entries will be evaluated by a jury appointed by the organiser. The results of the competition will be announced by 15 May 2026 on the organiser’s website. The winners will receive prizes and honourable mentions, and the winning entries will be presented at a post-competition exhibition organised by the Museum.
