On February 17th, the State Museum at Majdanek together with the branch the Museum and Memorial Site in Bełżec organized a methodical training on extracurricular historical education in post-camp memorial sites. It was attended by 25 primary and secondary school teachers from the Zamość region.

On January 28, delegation from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington visited the Museum and Memorial Site in Belzec. Among the distinguished guests was director Sara J. Bloomfield, members of the Board with families, as well as a museum volunteer, survivor of the Holocaust, who was deported to the Auschwitz death camp in May 1944 from Hungary, Irene Weiss.

These issues were the main topics of the nationwide scientific conference 'Histora w przestrzeniach pamięci. Obóz – miejsce – muzeum' (History in spaces of remembrance. On September 23rd, the Museum and Memorial Site in Bełżec organized a seminar "History - Education - Memory" - this is the third event whose aim is to present topics from the history of World War II, concerning the extermination of Jews, as well as museums in post-camp memorial sites. This year's seminar was held in September as part of the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II.

From September 14 to 16, Poland hosted an official delegation from 13 most important institutions dealing with museums and places important to the memory of the Holocaust in France. The delegation included, among others, representatives of Memorial de la Shoah, The Foundation for the Memory of the Shoah, National Office for Veterans and Victims of War, Rivesaltes Memorial Museum, Foundation of the Camp des Milles, The Maison d'Izieu Memorial.

On August 22 the Museum in Bełżec hosted educators from France. They came to Poland as part of an educational program organized by the Parisian Mémorial de la Shoah.

On August 16th, the Museum and Memorial Site in Bełżec hosted Lubliners from Israel. During the visit to the Museum, the guests got acquainted with the history of the Nazi German death camp in Bełżec and paid homage to those among the former Lublin residents who were murdered in the Bełżec death camp.

On July 8th, 2019 Museum and Memorial Site in Bełżec hosted a group of participants of the postgraduate studies "Totalitarianism—Nazism—Holocaust" organized by the Auschwitz Museum in collaboration with the Pedagogical University of Kraków. The visits to the Museum and Memorial Site in Bełżec are cyclical. This is another edition of postgraduate studies in which we partner up with.

The Museum and Memorial Site in Belzec is an institution directly subordinated to the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The unit was established in December 2003 as the Museum-Memorial Site in Bełżec as a branch of the State Museum at Majdanek. Since 2018, the institution has been functioning as the “Museum and Memorial Site in Bełżec. The Nazi German Extermination Camp (1942–1943). Branch of the State Museum at Majdanek”.
